The core message behind Fifth Leg wines is “serious about wine, not about life”. Tribal DDB Melbourne drew from this idea when asked to build a new and engaging website for the brand.
Visitors to the website are able to change the website’s content via a slider at the bottom of every page. The slider transforms content from serious to wacky to reveal the lighthearted nature of the brand. Content includes such things as a comic about a superhero with BBQ tongs for hands and a interview with some grapes.
As this site was particularly ‘design heavy’ the challenge was to build a structure which allowed interactive designers to concentrate on the graphics and animation without having to worry too much about the code side of things. This was achieved by creating a simple interface to enable animations to hook into the output of the slider’s position and react accordingly.
